Supernatural 9.01

so I've been vastly underwhelmed by spn ever since s5...as far as I'm concerned, the series ended with Swan Song and everything after that is to me sorta just...there? I've liked a few eps here or there but for the most part, I can't believe that it's still on (or that there are people that still enjoy it, or that it's still garnering new fans, ( Read more... )

I hadn't even considered that but oh my god, that would be awesome! Since Cas said that Ezekiel was a good angel, but was not actually there to confirm it was Ezekiel, it's obviously not Ezekiel. I definitely think there will be interesting things happening this season and I like the set up for the beginning of this season more than I liked the beginning of season eight. I don't watch supernatural for soft-memory flashbacks of changing light bulbs. There was so much wrong there, I couldn't do more than just let it go and focus on hot dirty purgatory flashbacks to get me through.

Anyway, because the Lucifer thing makes so much awesome sense, it probably won't happen. But it would be awesome if it did.

Hehe. I'm one of those poor souls who will watch til the end. :-) and that speculation would be really so awesome but I'm tempering my expectations. :-)

I agree about SpN being mainly disappointment leavened with the occasional good ep for the last few years (what a waste of time the Leviathans were, OMfreakingG) - and when episodes with Felicia Day, whom I find ever so annoying and talentless, are the ones that top the list? Yeah, something's wrong there. Nevertheless, Crowley still in the trunk, knock once for yes and twice for no, was pretty hilarious ( ... )

well, my assumption was that Ezekiel was a real angel that Castiel sincerely does like, but that Lucifer (if this is a thing) was simply lying about his identity. Castiel wasn't there to see who it was (if he even still has that ability), nor did he ever talk to the angel on the phone - he was getting it second-hand from Dean.

though I can't remember whether Lucifer lying would be a thing in their universe, haha. did he lie ever, or was he more of a truth twister, I can't remember

Maybe the only lie he told in this circumstance was his name, then. And that's a lie the Winchesters themselves tell as easy as breathing, so one could hardly hold it against him... right?

Also, he might have the title "Father of Lies" laid on him by Heaven, in an attempt to spin-doctor the Fall. Naughty lying rebel is a less sympathetic angel than, say, noble rebelling truth-seeker who can't bear to live a proscribed life any more, right?

I thought season 8 really brought their game up a lot... I really enjoyed it... and I'm eager to see where this season goes...

I don't think Ezekiel is Lucifer (probably not, though that could be VERY cool) but I don't think Ezekiel is the Ezekiel Cas knows from heaven, either :/ I think there's some deception going on here...

What I'm dying to see is CROWLEY's storyline this season... what even IS he now??? :P

WAT? Esplain this to me. How is Ezekiel secretly Lucifer? Isn't Lucy in the hole in the ground?

Also, ugh, there are exactly two reasons why I am still watching this show:

1. I can't NOT
2. A-- Oh, spoiler. haha I will tell you later
