What and where do I want to be when I grow up?

I may take a position on the Quality Assurance team at work. It would be the last lateral move I could make with this company, and could put my in a good place to get a supervisory position ( Read more... )

Do you like where you're at? A semi-boring job that pays ok but has cool people can be better than a high-pay one with people you hate. On the other hand, can't hurt to explore? Could you do a couple of classes a term at Lane and see if that's something you want to do without quitting your job right now?

My current job is not a bad one, but there is little opportunity for advancement, which makes me frown.

I have my associates from LCC, so the next scholastic step is the U, which is daunting, to say the least.

So the question becomes, is it scarier to leave or stay? I jumped the metaphorical cliff because, as much as it scared me to leave my nice cozy rut, the idea of STAYING there was worse. /$0.02. :D

I'm going to be in Eugene next week, btw - Tuesday night through Saturday morning. Am planning on staying with whytekitten on Friday night so I can get my train home Saturday morning, want to try for coffee or something sometime during the week?

Your life is your business, certainly... but going corporate isn't a bad idea. The ladies here in QA make tons of $$ and do a great job ( ... )
