Valentine lets himself into the room, and quietly sets about collecting up the few possessions he's amassed since finding himself in Milliways. Mostly books, a sheaf of notes, some clothing. He slides a blank scrap of paper out of the pile, and starts scribbling on it.

Valentine makes his way to a clear space at the back of the Bar, somewhere sufficiently open and flat and hard that he can draw on the ground. Referring often to his notes, and frowning with great concentration, he draws an elaborate design on the ground.
