This has been a long time coming.

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

First off, let me just say to anyone who is a fan of the Twilight series on the f-list, you probably want to avoid this post. No offense is intended to you--this is just my take on it..........and my take isn't very fangirl friendly. =[  I really don't want to offend you guys, because ( Read more... )

I am all about people hating Twilight, so you know... this post gets a thumbs up from me. I admire you for even slogging through the tripe - I've read enough excerpts and plot synopses to know that I could never, ever pick up one of these books and actually read it. You are stronger than I!

Stronger or stupider, lol? I actually don't even know why I kept reading them except, like I said, I really had to see how much it would fail. And I wasn't disappointed. *rolls eyes*

Your icon, by the way, is awesome. Seriously.

Haha, I admit I'm a fangirl, but I agree completely with everything said here. I don't know why I like it! I just...do.

And never ever ever should it be compared to Harry Potter. It makes me want to cry when I hear "the next Harry Potter" and "Twilight" in the same sentence. Ugh.

Lol, I know a lot of people who feel the same way you do. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking it--like I said, I just can't wrap my mind around it. My friends are always telling me to shut up and let them enjoy their brain candy. xD

AND I KNOW. I saw, "Move over, Harry Potter," in the review section of Breaking Dawn and threw the book at a wall. My one comfort is that J.K.R. still beats out SMeyer on sales and pre-orders. \o/

LOL...

That was great and so true. You just can't seem to ever fit in all the bad with these books. I wrote up a review at amazon and even staying spoiler free I couldn't put in everything I wanted to.

I think I'll post it at my journal and get the word out. No one should be subjected to this book.

Yeah, I totally agree. It's just too hard to include every detail of the suck. xD

You should definitely post at your journal! No one should have to suffer as we did, lol. Get the warning out there! :D

Here is my review on my journal. I am tempted to do a spoiler review as well - more like yours so I can be more specific with why I thought it was so terrible.

I like to pretend that Breaking Dawn does not exist. Like you said, I enjoy the storytelling (up to that point, of course, ugh) but I don't think she is Dickens or anything. Also, I love Harry Potter but I don't think JK is, either, though she is the better between the two :\

The chest monster and Nessie can go live in a box somewhere together.

Totally agree with you there. I know she doesn't have the best writing skills in the world, but she still blows SMeyer out of the water on her worst day.

Lmfao, you said it! :D
