i just thought you'd like to know that the author of the book i was panicking about last week also cites

IMPERIAL LEATHER in her book! hahahaahahaHAHAHAHAHAHhahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I must've missed the original post on this subject. I'm often surprised at how often Imperial Leather gets cited. Anne McClintock is actually even on my department's prelim reading list!

Ok, I soooo want to know more about your dissertation.

Did you get a chance to look at the SoP?

Temple is due on the 15th but I am having serious second thoughts about applying. I am just fearful that if I dont get into Villanova that I wont be enrolled anywhere in the fall.....stress stress!

god, will that book EVER leave us alone? I just got it off the shelf after out little mutual laugh, dusted it off, and . . . looked briefly at all my enthusiastic marginalia before I couldn't take it any more and put it away again. Ahh, youth. I can't BELIEVE it is on a prelim list somewhere. Wow. They should so be using Mary Douglas's Purity and Danger. Oh well, the pitures from Munby are still totally riveting.
