It's Good to be the Queen...
...if only for a little while.
So, for those of you who don't follow all the events in ask_world, for the last few months a merry band of folk have been having a grand time. Led by the bold and sexy ask_captainjack, Torchwood Three has been providing 51st century advice to aide the 21st century world.
I joined the ask_socks on April 1st. I had to. After all, Ianto had gone and used QEII's pics as a practical joke. What would the brick-in-handbag wielding, Supernatural-fanfic-writing, awesome-hat-wearing Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor do in such a situation? She'd join the club and scold Ianto for flashing her face about on the internet in such a presumptuous manner. Thus was inquireof_liz born.
One problem with playing the queen was that, well, she's the queen. Most people, Hart excluded, felt the need to be nice to her. Plus, she really is more apt to act like Jack and handbag things in the face. Harold Putnam, Butler to the Queen helped to balance things out. Hey! Every Jack-like leader needs an Ianto-like butler, right?
Okay, I wasn't all that original, but it was loads of fun. I've enjoyed playing with the group, most of whom were a mystery to me except for Hart. Sam, I had indeed sussed you out fairly early on. Gwen, I had my suspicions, but wasn't positive. Jack, I kind of thought you were someone outside of fandom, but... you could have been anybody and I would have been surprised. Flirting with you online has been one of the highlights of online life for me during the last few months! Smooches!
On a personal note, I have some thoughts about all of this, but I need to finish letting them percolate first. It's my way.
