So, it's been almost a year since I became active on lj, Torchwood fandom, and the internet. During that time, I've somehow managed to accumulate friends. Wow. Really, this kind of shocks me. I have to say that you sound quite a bit like me. I can talk to anyone really - although I am not that comfortable doing it - but I don't exactly have a huge circle of friends. But then it's like my dad says - there are very few people in life that will stay with you and be friends no matter how many people you know ( ... )

::grin:: You too! You know, when I found you and your fun fic, I went over to your journal, but there was only the one post, so I sort of assumed you only kept a journal for commenting. Now I see you've posted "Friends in Dead Places". I may just have to wander over there again!

Funny you should mention the 80 year old neighbor. I think I am one of the older fans at 46, though not the oldest I've discovered. And we kind of riffed on the theme over at the Torchwood Writers' Union on this thread, part way down. Thought you might get a kick out of it. :P

Word, baby, word. Absolutely the same over here! It's been nice getting to know you, and you've introduced me to so much more, so I think it's just a result of your good karma coming back to you!

I share your love for Torchwood, and your love for fun... and I'm sure more besides -- so here's to another year. :)
