Rules, Deadlines, and Questions Post
TGWTG Big Bang
- This is being modeled loosely after bandombigbang, and I'm kind of shamelessly taking their FAQ post and editing it to fit.
- The goal is to write a 10,000 word fic. Everyone who completes the challenge on time will be rewarded with a soundtrack/fanmix or fanart made especially for their fic. 10,000 is the minimum requirement, but if you want to write more I am in no way going to stop you.
- Stories can be het, gen, or slash. Crossovers with other fandoms are awesome, but the main focus and/or pairing must be from this fandom. I mean, that should be common sense. There are no prompts to follow, so go crazy.
- Co-writing is absolutely allowed, and the collaborative wordcount minimum is still 10,000 words.
- Signups for writers open Later Today December 26th, and close on January 9th. If you decide to play after signups have closed, PM me (or someone I deputize as a co-mod if I decide I need the help) and you can probably play.
- Signups for fanmixers and artists will open on February 14th and remain open until March 25th. Writers may sign up to be fanmixers or artists. IF YOU ARE A MIXER OR ARTIST, I WILL DEFINITELY WAVE THE SIGN UP DATES IF YOU DECIDE LATE THAT YOU WANT IN
- On March 20th, the completed fic must be emailed to the mods so that it can be definitively assigned to a fanmixer or artists. This does not have to be the betaed, edited polished, completely final form, but it must have already reached 10,000 words so that we know that we can safely assign you to the fanmixer or artist, and so that the fanmixer or artist has a close to finished fic to work from. You have a four week period from March 25th (THAT MEANS APRIL 15TH)to have your fic finished and editied if it wasn't already.
- This is the four week period the fanmixers and artists will use to work their magic.
- On April 15th, all final fic versions and all fan art and fan mixes are due, and posting begins on April 20th.
- Writers can drop out at any time before the first draft deadline on March 20th and everything will be cool.
- After Writer Sign Ups have closed, there will be a Big Bang Discussion Post for venting about your stories, art and mixes, asking for advice, and cheering each other on.
- About halfway through the writing portion, a post will go up for people who are willing to Beta other people's fics and people who are looking for someone to Beta their story for them.
