This is me, putting on my Responsible Mod hat. I want to discuss Pinch Hitting way before it even becomes an issue. There is a bit of a discrepancy between the tentative numbers of Artists/Mixers and Writers, and if for some reason once everything gets assigned an Artist/Mixer has to drop out, then I want to make sure the Writer they chose still gets something to accompany their fic, because it really wouldn't be fair to them if they didn't.
So what I'm thinking I'll do is - in the case that an Artist/Mixer has to drop out for any reason - is create a post announcing that there are X number of fics needing Art/Mixes, and letting people sign up to claim those fics. This would, of course, be dependant on people being willing to do that.
So does that sound like a good plan to you guys? Artists/Mixers, would you be willing to play Knight In Shining Armor? I"m also thinking of letting Artists/Mixers claim multiple fics, does that sound like a good idea?
