Delicious to Pinboard?

Some of you might have seen Delicious's new... style, to put it nicely, with shitty tags, no pages and a whole side taken up by preview. They're not going to get better, as evidenced by the feedback section, so I (well, keevacaereni ) propose we move to Pinboard. Lookit, they even have a "why you should move from Delicious" page. One question: what happens to the old archive? Can we transfer all the old fics from there to Pinboard, or do we have to start from a scratch?

Okay, now that I've searched the site a bit and there is that... I've no objections whatsoever. The only downside I can see is it being non-free, and wouldn't want you to cover the costs alone, even if it's not that much. :/

It says that Delicious is better for Firefox. For those of us who use Firefox, will Pinboard work, or will we have to switch to Chrome?

If Firefox works, being able to search the page would be extremely helpful.

It says "if you rely on the firefox plugin and sidebar". I use firefox too, and it seems safe and easy to use.

Pinboard works for me and I use Firefox. I don't use a plugin though. I tried looking for one and couldn't find one.

I only really use(d) Delicious for when I wanted fanfics of a character who doesn't have a tag (Judas Liz, JO, CR, etc), so I'm all for moving to a new site.

Can we at least get some new tags at the Treehouse *Pweety Pwease?*

Yes, I've noticed that the new Delicious layout is a real pain in the ass. I have no problem whatsoever with moving it. ^_^

Why do they keep trying to change sites that aren't broken? Its one thing I will never get used to on the interwebz.

FWIW, I'm an archiver for a different kink meme, and in the interest of offering a third party, Diigo works out all right.

There is the issue of Diigo being pretty anti-smut in the past (forcibly making NSFW posts private, for instance). Pinboard is fan-friendly.
