Welcome to tg_crack - can I get you coffee, tea, or something stronger?

This comm exists because I thought it would be good to have a mostly flocked community for RPS fic and other creative insanity that doesn't really fit into the guidelines for topgearslash or has no other home, but would like a wider circulation than on a flocked personal journal

I guess you could say that this is my attempt at outing the conspiracy - it was a good joke but not universally popular, so I'm hoping this comm will give everyone a little more space ♥

No leaving behind is intended or likely, I think - this comm is meant to be complementary ( and indeed complimentary ) to such fine entities as caps_gear, clarksonlove, top_gear_macros, topgearslash, topgeartotty, slash_in_a_boat and mission_central.

The intawebz is huge - plenty of room to play :-)

Ah, you are such a good diplomat! ... But now i'm confused. My Stig fic (when i ever finish it) - where will that go? Because the Stig is an alien - that's cannon right? Or is it crack? Crack and cannon?? Anyway...

Can you be more explicit about what the restrictive elements of the guidelines are, ie which ones this place is designed to break? Perhaps it would be obvious though if I could actually see the guidelines! That seems to be a fundamental flaw in expecting people to sign up to any LJ community before they can even see the rules to which they are supposedly agreeing. :-/

TGS stipulates that posts should be about Top Gear and about slash, although this is interpreted fairly widely to include TV info posts and stuff like that. So, for example, pictures of Richard Hammond with tentacles would probably not count as slashy, unless he was doing something homosexual with them.

This comm is really intended for stuff that the main cohort of TGS members would consider too silly or too non-slashy. Also I control the membership, so if you want to join you can, and I won't ask you to prove you are a real human!

When you put it that way - that a betentacled but mostly harmless RH
wouldn't be allowed on TGS (and presumably not a similarly innocuous head-phone-haired RH/LO either) - this place is clearly essential. ;-)

I'm pretty much limited to silly, under the circumstances. I might try sketching a vampire RH sometime though (given recent discussion) ... but I suspect it will only end up silly too.

Yes, if you'd rather post your 'normal' slash fic here, for whatever reason, that's fine with me - for some definition of the word 'normal' at least ;-)

I don't want to spoil the splendidly diverse character of the main TGS comm however - that would be a shame.

This is brilliant! I may have gone undercover as a secret agent writing a very cracky fic. As yet, however, there's no slash (strictly speaking-you'll see). Woe! It doesn't fit the posting guidelines at TGS, and I was going to have to try to ask for some sort of special dispensation. Luckily, you've popped up just in the nick of time!

The TGS system of memories by author seems to work well - unless Ash and Draco go completely frantic we shouldn't have too much trouble keeping up.

I fixed the comm name in the user info - do we want to have some disclaimer about how you have to have had enough birthdays and be broad-minded to join?
