July/August Challenge Information
July/August Challenge for the tf_rarepairing fic-a-thon
This time around we’re going to play the “What if?” game. That’s right, choose your pairing and give a “what if” scenario to write about.
Last time around, we had 11 writers sign up and make/write requests. Here's hoping for a lot more this time.
Sign ups can begin today and will go until the 20th of July. Assignments will be handed out on July 25th and will be due on August 25th. I'm extending the writing period from 20 days to 30 to try and give everyone more time and we'll see how it works.
I am going to add something this time around as well. A new rule since it seems to be necessary at this point. Stories will still have a due date but I will not post anyone’s story until all of them have been received. This way, if someone doesn’t get a story written for them, we will have time to find a back up writer and get their story written before revealing everyone else’s. That being said, if you do not submit your story and you haven’t emailed myself or Dex and let us know that it will be late or that you can not complete the assignment on time, you will not be able to submit a request for the next round. It’s only fair that if someone puts the time and effort into writing the story you’ve requested you put the time and effort into writing the story you were assigned to write. It’s not fair for someone to be left out because a writer decided not to write. Now, I understand, things happen. God knows I’ve dealt with my own health issues enough lately to understand, and that’s fine. But at least have the courtesy to drop an email to either myself or Dex and say, “I’m going to be late with my story but I’ll have it to you two days after it’s due” or “I can’t finish my story. Please find a back up writer.”
That being said, let’s get on with the fun part of this community.

Rating wanted: PG-13 to R or NC-17
Scenario wanted: “What if” Prowl had become a Decepticon instead of an Autobot because of his bond with Starscream?
Three things you’d like to see in your story: Prowl as SIC to Megatron, Starscream as being less whiny than normal, TC and/or Skywarp as being jealous of Starscream’s relationship with Prowl
Three things you don’t want to see in your story: no deathfics, no ooc, and I guess that’s it.
Pairings you are willing to write: just about any so long as they are G1 and movie verse. I will write a couple of G2 characters (Rodimus, Magnus, Springer)
Three things you will not write about: het, fluffy stories, original characters with cannon characters.
