If they reformat Megatron into Galvatron again I think I will bash my head against a wall. THAT PLOT TWIST IS SO OLD KTHX. D<

I am so ridiculously excited for Season 3 I cannot express it properly with mere words.

As someone said on TFW 2005, I am very glad to be a Transformers fan right now. x3

If they reformat Megatron in to Galvatron, I will be filled with nerd rage. Besides, two evil robot dictators are better than one.

Amen to that.

Maybe Galvatron's another Decepticon commander who has drastically different plans from Megatron. If so, and if the new character rumours are correct, he'll have underlings roughly analogous to the original guys under Megatron:

-Strika (Lugnut)
-Spittor (Blackarachnia, only he landed on a planet of monster toads instead)
-Cyclonus (Starscream, without the backstabby goodness)

And, throwing in my own totally unfounded speculation:

-Astrotrain (Blitzwing)

Oh, this is exciting! I really want to know when the new episodes air, so I can get anticipated.

I could also assume that analogous to Lockdown who currently offers his services to Megatron, Galvatron has Scourge, his Tracker/Huntsman.

There were discussions in season 2 of random, terriorist-like Decepticon attacks on space bridges. That seems quite Galvatrony, don't you think? He could be the rebel 'Con leader.

Considering the spoilers have an emphasis on Predacons, I'd say whomever's in charge is more likely to have a number of Predacons as minions, with Spittor being the tip of the iceberg.

I'd rather see Cyclonus in the leadership role on his own. Galvatron always struck me as a bit overplayed over the years, and even then... the most memorable version of Cyclonus is the Animated version, and Lugnut's kind of got the monopoly on his archetype.

Well, he has the monopoly plus a few extra tons of crazy fantacism, but still.

The thing is, in Shockwave's case, is that they saw his personality and went "He doesn't have jack to do", and took him beyond being expressly loyal and added the double agent thing.

Of course, they could have gone with the comic personality, but... that's been a bit overplayed.

I'd say that in the case of Hot Shot and the others, that's the point. Hot Shot, Rodimus, Red Alert, Brawn, etc. will basically be meant to make you go "Hey, these guys are like our main characters" and such.

As far as the new villains... a significant lack of anything like a robot toad monster in the Season 1 and 2 'Con ranks makes me doubt they're gonna go that route.

Cyclonus is not complete without Galvatron.

There have been a number of Cyclonus stories where "working for Galvatron" haven't been essential to his character at all. They could pull it off.

I was thinking about this, earlier...

I wonder if Arcee is the female medic? She lost her memory, no reason to think she couldn't get a new name.

Just seems odd to me that Red Alert would be a chick without a good reason.

Or maybe it's all a Decepticon plot designed to throw the legions of fans into chaos!

*shot*

Anyways... That's a very interesting theory. I wouldn't be surprised. Perhaps Arcee was so thankful of Ratchet for rescuing her (even though she didn't know why she was being rescued) that she took up being a medic. Or something... Who knows. ;P

They intended Red Alert to be female and a medic in the original concept for the series, back when Bumblebee was meant to be a new incarnation of Hot Shot. Then the movie came along and Bumblebee and Ratchet replaced them.

I imagine they're reusing the two ideas for these characters on Rodimus's team.

Red Alert has been "changed" before, from a fire rescue vehicle with paranoia, to a medic science officer type. In fact, numerous characters have been changed significantly over the course of the various series. Silverbolt went from acrophobic gestalt leader to knightly bird dog. Cyclonus was a trigger happy helicopter.

They tinker with and modify the mythos all the time. It's not gonna be G1 Red Alert anyway, no more than G1 Prowl is a motorcycle or a ninja.
