So, I was skimming through this fic when I hit WTFery.

First Timer

Mirage and Hound have a sparkling, but after Ratchet tells them flat-out no. The stories of danger associated with a sparkling these days don't interfere with the scout and noble's plan; in fact, it starts a whole new generation.

A pity they couldn't just create models like Wheeljack and Ratchet did with the Dinobots... (in the cartoon.)
Or the Aerialbots (granted they required Vector Sigma to activate any "life").
I'd love to see a fic where an adult model was made and had to be taught how to 'grow' so to speak. Authors seem to go for the children instead of a more interesting concept of child-in-adult's-body.

If you think about it, it is rather strange that they ignore the established canonical methods of reproduction when writing in G1 and go for fanon. In this fic, they worry about the sparklings being all vulnerable but that would be completely avoided if they just built them as adults. Logic < sparklings

You mean that aliens made from completely different elements from humans could possibly not do things like we do? Preposterous! Cute babies are a universal constant. Relationships always result in babies that will be cuddled and cooed over and the parents must be turned into complete morons by their biological clocks. There must also be conception by sex, birthing scenes with lots of screaming and equivalents of breastfeeding and diaper-changing.

Those are the rules of fan fiction and they shall not be ignored for silly things like creativity and canon. Now get out there and make these robots have babies!

That last part there sounds like a bit of a kink the author might have. Pregnancy and sex. Nooot my kind of fun reading. XD

Also, wouldn't lying to Optimus Fucking Prime's face be considered nearly treasonous? He is the leader after all.

Also: when is the best time to have babies? WAR TIME, OF COURSE. 8D IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. No wait, no it doesn't.
