A little help?

Okay. I'm a slow writer. I'm also flighty as all get out. I'm working on three different stories in three different 'verses, have four other 'verses in the planning stages, and I'm working on a huge batch of TF icons ( Read more... )

I have no idea why this came in my head Flashstar.
I think it is the colour that gives it a 'flash' feel.

I don't know about Flashstar (names with "star" in them always make me think of seekers), but I think you're really onto something with the flash part of it. ^^ Thanks!

khallandra's Flashstar, or maybe Flashfire. I agree, Flash does seem appropriate - even as a human she was flashy

Hah! Flashfire is what thought of the second I read her comment. ^^ I love it, but it sounds a bit...decepticonish. Flashfire = destructive. But I might just work that in as a plot point. ^^ I'll have to think on it.

Mm... I don't know. I always think of fireworks when I hear the word Flashfire, but I can see your point. I look forward to reading what you come up with.

Thanks. ^^ You know, the people in this fandom are so nice. It's really different from some of the others I've been in.

I kinda like Firefly myself.

I don't think it's that much of a problem to borrow names from obscure characters. Two of my characters share names with canonical TFs, which I was unaware of when I made them. But really, who here knows off the top of their head who the canonical Flash and Wildspark are? Or Firefly? ;}

*is pondering how cool it would be to have an online listing of various TF OCs, then realizes that is way off-topic*

*sheepish* I've been completely anal about checking and double-checking the different names. I don't want to nick a lesser-known character's name only to find his or her fans sitting in my inbox with baseball bats. -_-;;

That would be cool.

Yeah, usually I'm pretty good about making sure I'm not stealing names before I decide to use one myself. I even like to make sure I'm not stealing someone else's OC's name as well (which is part of the reason I wish there was a list of them somewhere XD), although I've done that on at least one occasion by accident. Most people are pretty forgiving about things like this though :}.

Very true.

Someone should do that. Really. Not me, of course -- I have too much on my plate at the moment. But someone really should.

How about Firework? It goes along with the Flashfire idea, but might be a little less Decpticon.

Or, Firecracker. That'd work too.

Everyone here has such good ideas, I'm having a hard time choosing which to go with. ^^ *laughs*

Thanks for the help.

Flashfire doesn't seem Decepticon-y to me. The 'flash' part just feels fast and, well, flashy, both of which are descriptions that could apply to a certain Autobot *coughBumblebeecough* as well. And the 'fire' part seems spirited, especially when coupled with that color scheme.

Yeah, I like it, too. ^^

O.O *gasp* How'd you know the pairing? That was supposed to be a secret!
