I adored this chapter. I loved the way you subtly connected the personalities of the Protectobots to their creators. They way they are interested in Mikaela's pregnancy is sweet too.

It was so funny the way the P-bots included themselves. ;D Once the idea came up, who each of the non-Prime "dads" was going to be just fell naturally into place.

And hell yeah, Protectobots! Very fitting that they of all mechs be earth-born (though now I ponder if Wheeljack's kids'll all end up as Dinobots :B ) And yay, mother-hen Bluestreak.

Much love for the Protectobots. They're all so cute in their own individual newly-decanted ways. ^_^ Somehow First Aid being Bluestreak's kid just makes so much sense, and I especially love Blades' relationship with Prowl... Prowl's arc continues to tug hard on my heartstrings. I do wonder, though, if "a mean-looking muscle car that was aggressively cruising the streets of Detroit" is a reference to TFA and Lockdown? :)

I'm intrigued by the byplay of the witnesses to 'Rio and Streetwise's makeout session... one part of suddenly becoming a sexually reproducing species is figuring out how, or if, incest taboos apply.

I love Sam fanning the paint chips against Ratchet's leg to help pick out a hue. Such a wonderful image! I also love Prowl realizing that you do not argue with a woman giving birth, especially if it's Mikaela. And "Danaela"... perfect. ^_^ It hadn't occurred to me before to view the merge scars as stretch marks... very interesting comparison

And then who the non-Prime "dads" were fell neatly into place, though for just a moment I was going to put Streetwise with Prowl - two seconds later Blades informed me he would work better. ;DDD Plus, Tracks deserves Streetwise. ::laughs self silly::
Heheheh, yep, that's a TFA!Lockdown ref! It may or may not actually be Borealis!verse!Lockdown - he's part of Sentinel's battalion. But he could have jumped ship, (defected to the Con side?) and come to Earth. Haven't decided yet. :D
