... Of course Ironhide would show up at the base right when Ratchet had finished up in the Medbay. And from the looks of it, the Autobot medic needed the break. At the same time, the truck mech really, really wanted his cannons fixed.

The weapons specialist weighed his options. He could bother Ratchet now or wait until the other mech had rested, but there was a strong likelihood that Ratchet would feel the need to finish what Starscream had started if he were to find out that Hide hadn't come to him immediately.

Ironhide made his way up beside the medic, pausing for a moment. "Ratchet. You got any free time right now?" He motioned to the weapons mounted on his arms. "My cannons are...... malfunctioning. I need them fixed." Because in Hide's thought processors, that's obviously what needs to be fixed first.

The medic automatically stopped and turned at the sound of his own name being called.

“Ironhide..?”

Pitch-black plates of armour were carved up with a haphazard latticework of fresh silver slashes, where gouging attacks had cut through the paint to reveal the gleaming raw metal beneath. Crumpled, dented and spattered with spilt energon, Ironhide looked like he’d had one hell of a fight. His attacker had obviously managed to get right up close and had gone for the black mech’s face with vicious ferocity. Ironhide’s helm was scratched all over, but the right hand half of his face had taken the focus of the attack. Savagely mangled metal was twisted around a dark hollow where there should have been a brightly glowing blue optic.

And he was worried about his cannons!?Ratchet’s overworked processors snapped back into action. Despite his tired state, the medic had picked up on Ironhide’s nervous pause. It amused Ratchet that the big, trigger-happy weapon’s specialist would think nothing of getting into a punishing brawl that left him ( ... )

As far as Ironhide was concerned, there was a very obvious reason his cannons needed to be repaired first: currently, he was unable to blow stuff up. That idea was more than a little distressing to the black mech, enough so that at this time he was considering his other wounds to be minor inconveniences. After all, there wouldn't be much he could do right now if another Decepticon decided to show up. If he had his cannons, he could at least inflict some good damage on the slagger ( ... )

Ratchet led his badly wounded patient into the Medbay, trudging one disgruntled footfall after another as he was forced to return to the room he’d only just managed to vacate. Grumbling and growling to himself, he flicked the lever switch to bring the lighting back on as he went. Fluorescent tubes blinked, flickering into life so that light slowly flooded the hangar. The room was cold and comfortless, full of unfinished work and empty space, broken only by the heavy echoing footsteps of the two large Autobots ( ... )

In less time than Elita would have thought. After assureing the Captian and his poilets that Yes the base was there just hidden, very well hidden. Considering the nature of those that would USE the base they assumed that made sence. So, carefully holding Maggie close to her body Elita-1 was once agian lowered to the earth. Once she had Landed and gently placed Maggie on the ground beside her she signaled the soilders in the Helicopter and they carefully lowered the net holding the twins to the ground. Once they were Safe and the humans had flow off she radioed the base.

"Ratchet are you there? I'm 5 miles north of the base with the screap for brain twins. Can you send a pick up?"

The youngest mech shut the comm link and raised his metal hand. "I'll assist Elita. Arcee will just have to wait."

The yellow mech backed up, just in case the already angry medic might throw one of his tools at his helmet. One of his...many sharp, metal piercing tools.

Once he was safely out of the base, he quickly transformed into his human's beloved Camaro and headed towards the location of female commander.

With Bumblebee gone and Optimus quiet, Ratchet refocused on Ironhide’s injuries. He’d have to work fast to get done what he could before the twins showed up, since he had a sneaking suspicion that they would probably become priority patients as soon as their sorry afts were dragged through the doors. Ironhide rolled with the punches and had made his own way here. The twins on the other hand were having to be airlifted in… they never did things by halves, much to the medic’s dismay ( ... )

Prowl immediately noticed there was something different, something new. He now detected Optimus Prime’s energy signature! Thank Primus he was still functional. He was worried that Ratchet had no idea where he was. He hadn’t thought to actively scan for energy signatures as he had wanted to stay hidden while meeting up with the Twins. He immediately opened a channel to the rightful Autobot leader ( ... )

It wasn’t often that Ironhide was stunned into silence. His optic widened slightly as he contemplated that maybe, just maybe, he should have waited until the medic had calmed down a bit before demonstrating what was wrong with his weaponry. As it was, the only response to Ratchet he could come up with was to nod numbly at the CMO’s instructions to sit still, holding his arm steady as the other mech prepared to go to work on his problematic cannons ( ... )

With a thunderous crash, Grimlock entered the room, a new dent in the door from his tail marking his arrival. While his tyrannosaurus rex form was significantly powerful and fitting for a king, it certainly wasn't designed for maneuvering in small or enclosed spaces. There were always bound to be casualties, inanimate or not, whenever the Dinobot leader was around.
Right now?
He was finding the Autobots Ratchet and Ironhide to be the most interesting. It looked like Ironhide had been in a rather nasty fight, and Grimlock was annoyed that he hadn't been invited.
"What you doing?" he asked, sidling up to the examination table next to the two Autobots. Feeling curious about the sustained damage, he leaned over the black topkick transformer to get a better view. Consequently, this involved sticking his massive snout (teeth and all) uncomfortably close to the old mech's face as he studied the gouged-out space where an optic had been. The impact shook the ground beneath, the small soil particles bursting in every direction as Tracks skid over the earth surface, sending clouds of sand and rains of small rocks in every driection. It was a little too late right then to realize that a smooth surface might just have been better after all. Tracks snapped out of his protoform mode, limbs unlocking with a loud crack, and leapt up on his legs, sliding the few last metres down on all four. The sand rattled against his body, and much to the robot's dismay; found its way in through crevices and openings.

I am starting to dislike this giant heap of dust. How am I supposed to remove this out of my systems properly?!

With a annoyed metallic click, Tracks straightened up, and let his optics take in the surroundings. He was in a wide open, dry land area, that seemed deserted, except for the lights, that were moving in lines, ahead of him.

Ah, perfect. No one around to see him, Tracks went down on all four again, and shook himself like a ( ... )

Shifting in his crouched position, Tracks turned his head when suddenly the loudest ruckus so far hit his audios. It was as if Blaster had been around, because all off sudden there was a form of music sounding through the air, apparently loud enough to permanently damage someones audios. The source of the noise was right then moving at a crawling speed past the vehicle wrecks, engine purring softly, as the driver stuck his head outside to yell something to one of the arguing men. Right then however, Tracks paid less attention to the humans than a scheming seeker to logic and reason. The vehicle the apparently very rude young man was driving, was a appearance of designed perfection. The 'bot let his scanner sweep over the marvelous dark blue vehicle, taking in the details, as he calculated the mass.

This planet is a wonderful place. Absolutely fabulous.He wasted no more time on staying still, and instead started the transformation, his now deep blue armour sliding to form the vehicle's shiny metallic cover. Once done, Tracks marveled ( ... )

The blue vehicle didn't even seem to notice the black S.U.V. that pulled onto the road behind him, following at a distance. Or that a traffic helicopter had happened to catch sight of the meteor, and radio the two people who were now following Tracks in the SUV ( ... )

Elita gracefuly gought up to the other mechs takeing her rightful place beside Optimus. With a bit of a Deviant smirk on her face she reached down and gave Optimus's aft a few pats before placeing her hands on her hips.

"Ratcher was right your new pint job DOSE make you look yonger Optimus. Would you mind showing me were the quarters for your human friends are Maggie needs to get some rest. After that you can give me the grand tour of the base hmm?"

Optimus looked at her, at the new plates of armour that clung to her slender form, every curve, every line. His spark reminded him how long it had been since they were together, and he realised the Autobots are capable. I can take a little time.

"Ah, yes. Maggie," Optimus crouched to speak to the human. "Thank you for accompanying Elita. We have a few rooms set up for humans, I hope they are adequate." He held out a hand for her to climb onto before standing to accompany Elita. His free hand reached out to twine with hers as they left the medbay.

Maggie smiled at the large Autobot.
"Uh, no problem. It was interesting. Better than staying home." She said. "And a room sounds great. And sleep, that sounds good too."
She climbed into Optimus's hand without a second thought. Her eyes felt heavy and sleep was near.

Elita-1 smiled as Optimus wraped his larger hand around hers. Tigheting her grip on his hand she looked him up and down. minus the minor damage he'd recieved he really did look a few million years younger. Not just the new "bitchin" paint job though. For better or worse more Autobots were comeing and Megatron was dead. Things were starting to look up.
"So Optimus shall we stop by your office after we get Maggie to bed? She looks ready to pass out right now."
