In late 2006, I Raced for the Cure. It was a 5K deal, with 25,000 of my closest friends at some godawful hour of the morning. It was my first major event in my quest to run the half marathon four months later. I ran most of it, and I was enormously proud of myself. Afterwards, I wandered over to the MidTown Farmer's Market and reveled in the ( Read more... )

I dunno. I'll ask. I imagine that a doggie free for all may not work, but we'll see.

Aw, man! We'll be in SD then! That sounds like so much fun!

We have to plan a trip to Houston so I can buy real maternity bras, and a back brace. Yes. A back brace. Because my back already hurts in new and exciting places. Maybe we can swing ArtCar VIPit again this year, if it's not during finals... Because this summer? We are NOT running our summer program, and I plan to not do anything but what I want to do, since, you know, I won't be getting paid this summer! :-D

Double Aw Man! Finals are over by May 7, and I hood my grad students on May 9, but Chris has to hood his on May 10, the day of Art Car. *pout* He has three or four students to hood, otherwise I would pregnant*whine and make him take me...

Dang!

So, any other good Solis-influenced productions going on this summer??? Because, yeah, I should treat you like my social secretary. *snerk*

I'm trying to think of what's coming up this summer... Pride parade? Ooooh!! It'd be totally awesome for a visibly pregnant woman to march in the pride parade with Planned Parenthood.

I'd LOVE to see the look on those protesters faces... I'm hoping the Vroom Vroom Room will be up and running for the event. You could lounge on the piano casually playing with condoms.

Hee!

This is excellent. I may have to borrow the idea if I'm ever in charge of organizing a fundraiser. Wish I could participate!

Borrow away. I am hopeful that this is the next fundraising craze to sweep the nation.
