  • I saw Ian Moore at the Continental Club on Saturday night. The last time I saw him, I was in law school and he opened for Bob Dylan. I have a few of his albums, but I'd forgotten how much I really like him until my friend Treasure asked me if I wanted to go see him this weekend. His voice is absolutely amazing, his guitar work is top notch, and ( Read more... )

I'll try. The puppy might go for it, but my older dog has tried and declared the compressed rawhide to be unsuitable for his tastes.

our puppies get real bones - we go down to our butcher's on cut day, and he lets us go into the bone box and take what we want. We wrap two bones per bag (1 per puppy) and throw them in the freezer for regular distribution. The pupper-doodles can be on the other side of the farm, but when that freezer opens they TELEPORT to the garage where the freezer is. And during teleportation they practice their "we are so cute and special and have been working VERY hard" expressions. ;).

We used to call that the "GE reflex". Chispa was particularly good at it. Not another soul in the vicinity of the kitchen, much less inside the kitchen when you opened the refrigerator door. When you closed it, a small black dog was sitting there, staring intently and using her telepathic powers. "You will give me the turkey sandwich." Her telepathic powers were strangely effective.

Where can you go to catch up on BG? I saw a bit of the pilot, and one episode and while I wasn't impressed at the time the more I think about it the better it seems to get.

I tivo the show, so the episodes I missed were just sitting on the DVR.

The first season just came out on DVD, so you can catch up through netflix or blockbuster or wherever.

Given that it's the Sci Fi channel, I'm sure they'll have a marathon of this season eventually.

Not even the Super Target has the Science Diet Senior + with Hairball Control that Charlie demands. I am stuck with the specialty stores.
