They warn you about killers and thieves in night; I worry about cancer and living right

I'm glad I don't have to write any songs right now. Because it'd drive me insane not being able to focus tightly enough to paint a worthwhile composition. I keep starting things up and can't finish them because I just can't be satisfied with anything I'm coming up with at the moment. It's pretty frustrating ( Read more... )

Tim, I think you acted rightly in asking her out. I wouldnt worry about her misinterpreting your intentions or changing toward you from here on out because she already knew so you havent suddenly sprung something completely unexpected on her. You had to try and you did. It didnt work out, but that's life sometimes. Now you dont have to wonder anymore and you can try to move on, hard though it will be. Keep focusing on getting your album done and getting to nyc because that is a much needed next step.

Dave, you really don't get it. I didn't have to try, and I wasn't wondering anything. I already knew, and I went through with it anyway and I had no clue why I did. There was no wrong or right act here; just a dumb one, given what I already knew. Your pep words, while possessing good intentions, are not what I want or need right now.

Despite the above, though, you are right about keeping focused on the album, and moving to NYC. Not quite for some of the reasons I'm guessing you're thinking of, but I suppose we can at least agree on what it is I do need to do.

So I know who Tooms is...HE IS ME!!!! I decoded your clever and cryptic code name in an instant and I am enraged!!!!!! I am ready to duel at sunset on the day of your choosing. I fight for my honour and my good name, which you have so unvaliantly besmirched. It does not matter how many overly-emotive and pretentious songs you write, they will not melt my heart, nor will they procure mercy for you. I call on you to stop stalking Anna, for god's sake. and I quote "because Tooms is a goddamn player." You talk about her as if you were once her boyfriend. Yet, at the end of the day, I think we'll find that only one of us actually got to fuck her.
Hugs and kisses,
Colin

First off, it's not that difficult to get "Tooms" from both "Colin Adams-Toomey", and the fact that there is plenty of inference that Tooms is Anna's ex-boyfriend. "Tooms" is not actually a code name, but more or less a nickname I chose for him because his last name reminds me of an X-Files character, more specifically "Eugene Victor Tooms", the liver eating mutant from the Season 1 episodes "Squeeze" and "Tooms ( ... )
