Trite, but true, that the things that worry/upset us now become insignificant in the long run. You have the motivation, so you will not be stuck anywhere forever, there may just be a few potholes on the road out. (And I am not being glib as I do know a bit about life sucking ( serious illness, redundancy, kids, currently mostly housebound with ME - not said for sympathy but to show I understand)).
Have you thought about other career options - PR in other areas, turning it around and working for a magazine or paper? You have the interest and writing skills.
If nothing else, just remember that you have an impact on people you have never met, through your writing. The Reverseverse is amazing and clever and funny and sweet and I have loved every chapter and recommended it to others and I am sure there are plenty of other people who would say the same. Aw hunnie. Thanks so much for such sweet comments :). Sometimes it really helps just to have someone to back you up and put things in perspective.

I'm thinking more and more about getting serious about my writing as a long-term goal, alongside some other less-stessful job and some other things. One of my pieces was shortlisted in a national competition recently and it just made me so happy thinking it had affected people and they'd found something to relate to in it. So, y'know, we'll see.

I could write a shedload of 'stuck in a boring job' fics. Might be good for angst release :).

I feel like gifs are just way better than words, 'cos my words especially usually go 'blah de blah de blah STUFF blah', and it's... not that great.

And yeah-- birthday tiemz :). LJ is correctamundo. Hence no tfln drabble today 'cos I've been dragged away from the laptop, but two tomorrow to make up for it! :)
