I'm in a weird creative mood, challenge me: name your pairing, character, situation, kink, and I'll try to write something with it/them.

Hermione cringed inside, so embarassing, but dutifully followed her mother over to the far wall of Madame Malkin's.

"It's nice, but I don't think pink is my colour mum."

"Oh nonsence, it gives you a nice girlish blush, liven up your complextion. Why don't you try something fun for once! You're always so serious."

Hermione ran her fingers along the velvet nap of a turquoise blue dress robe on a nearby hook, while vaguely following her mother's long story about her first fancy dress ball in school. She nodded at Zacharias Smith who entered the shop in his mother's tow.

"Oh, who is that cute boy?" Mrs. Granger cried loudly, waiving at Mrs. Smith ( ... )

And it explains so much about why she doesn't whinge about missing her parents when she's stayed with the Weasleys.

I am not out watching Star Wars! Though I kind of want to watch the original one again, to catch all of the newly-poignant bits...

I really liked the Ron/Pansy fic. It's a neat pairing, especially for a post-War fic. And resentful!Ron is always a good read.

As for your creative urge...

James/Remus/Sirius (if you can't make it slashy I understand) on New Year's Eve with champagne and explosions (a dangerous mix)

Yay! I love it. It's just so awkward and boyish. Almost-but-not-quite!J/R/S slash. Remus just nonchalantly biting on Sirius' shoulder was way too cute and wonderful.

I was TOTALLY going to ask you to set in Sirius' flat, but I thought it was a bit too restrictive...and then you went and did it!

There is not enough New Years fanfic in this fandom. Inebriation and fireworks and celebration...what more could be asked for?

I'm going to cheat and use the beginning of one that's been in my edit list for some time, with a couple changes Sunlight slipped through the slats in the wooden blinds, hitting the man full in the face. He groaned and rolled over, shielding his eyes from the blinding light. He scrunched his eyelids closed, cupping his palms over them. His elbows and ribs felt bruised from pressing into the cold wooden flooring. Creaking his eyes open for a second, just to get a bearing on his surroundings, sent sensations like stabbing scissors through his skull. He slammed the palms of his hands back over his eyes, digging his fingers into his head to try to deaden the flash of lights behind his eyelids. An awful groaning and whimpering sound, like a dog in distress grated his nerves raw until he realized he was making those noises and stuck his fingers in his mouth to stop it ( ... )
