To be honest, the first story I beta'd for topaz_eyes (It Comes To This) took a fair bit of time if I remember (about six drafts), because she hadn't written anything in years and was flexing writing muscles that had atrophied.

She's become a quick study though, and at times I feel as if I'm taking advantage of reading good fic before everyone else. Seriously, I tend to just point out a dodgy sentence or two and she's good to go nowadays.

My beta reading is like feedback, but a bit more defined. You see why I couldn't do it in your LJ? I'd have killed your account!
