WSOP final table delayed until November

So, as was rumoured, the WSOP main event final table will be held in November, allowing ESPN to do a live-ish final table broadcast. They did something similar to this on some internet site (Paradise maybe?) a couple years ago, before the Sunday tournaments were a million guarantee. There was a big guarantee on the tournament, alot of satellites, etc. They played down to the final 9 online, then broke for like 2 months and played the final table live in the Bahamas or some equally tropical location.

I'm confused as to why they are doing this though. They aren't even planning on showing it live, so what's the purpose? Also, I thought this quote was awesome: "'Poker is a game of skill. The hands are random. … It's how you play your hand. I don't believe in hot streaks,' Chan says." Mr. "Not Terrence" is probably the most superstitious "pro" in the game. Anyways, I'm still confused as to what benefit this holds at all for the WSOP as a brand.
