And I manage to get an update done before that two month mark. Yay! for me. So first, the update - 'For Nothing, For Everything' chapter eight. Just in case I haven't mentioned it yet, this is probably going to become a very long fic, at least matching the length of 'Blind Sight'. The number one indication of this - the shumi have yet again

Sorry, I realize this is my first time posting here, and under the circumstances this is very creepy and stalker-y, but I had to friend you so I'd know the instant the new FNFE chapter was up. Which um .. worked, so I'm very pleased and HOMG NEW CHAPTER YES! I can't quite pin it down, but I uphold that FNFE may be your best work to date. And I am very much on pins and needles with excitement to read this newest installment, but I just wanted to drop a quick line and say thank you ^__^ Because really, it's this ONE fic that has kept me grounded in the FF8 fandom. So thank you.

And I swear, Ruth's art gets more and more beautiful and inventive with each new piece. You two would make a most impressive writer/artist team. M'kay, now I'm going to stop being all creepy and fangirly ...

*laugh* I don't think I can complain much if me posting a single chapter gets that type of reaction. ;)

Glad that you are enjoying FNFE so much. I think what makes it different from the other fics is the slower progression, that SxS don't suddenly fall in love once they stare into each other's eyes, or something else like that. Anywho, I hope that the chapter wasn't to boring for you after all of this excitement on your part. ;)

*laugh* If I ever decide to do an actual novel in the far future, I would love it if Ruth could do the cover. She is a master at showing so much emotion and meaning within one picture that it ends up summarizing the entire story. I'm so very jealous of her skill.

*laugh* Why do I have a bad feeling I shouldn't have mentioned anything? Unfortunately, my writing of an actual novel would first involve me writing something original for once. I do have my various ideas, but nothing that has taken hold. But trust me, the moment I do decide to move forward, I'll be begging for your help and skill. It's funny how we end up working full circle, my ideas leading to your pictures, which then leads back to me being motivated. Such a perfect relationship there. ;)

Yay, another chapter for me to read. And considering that "Voice" is probably my personal favourite from among all the fics you've written, I'm as overjoyed as you are over Ruth drawing a pic for it. I wonder if I can convince her into drawing one that shows his face too. So greedy of me^_^

Heh, you are so very greedy, but I'm assuming you looked over Ruth's latest posting which explains why she decided against showing Squall's face. Personally, I love it that way because, in general, Squall hides so much of himself. It also perfectly fits the first chapter of the story, Squall hiding his obsession and love from Seifer, too afraid to be rejected in the end

Poor Squall. He usually doesn't love chocolate quiet that much, but it's been numerous years since he's had his last taste. He felt it unfortunate that Seifer was there to watch him, but still worth the chocolate. ;)

*laugh* As some people have caught on, the snowball fight is the first kind of 'family bonding' type of scene. That, and Squall finally dropped some of his defenses in front of Seifer. Yes, the blond has definitely worn him down.

New ficage! I come up for air between work and my own writing and what do I find? New ficage. This was great and the snowball ball fight was too cute. I also loved the pic that Ruth did. So, we can expect a new chapter when? How 'bout now? If I ask in 10 minutes will it be ready then? 20 minutes? Now?

*laugh* Not too greedy, are you? Eh, I never know when I'll have a new chapter done. It all depends on the muses, really, and they appear at odd times. I actually wrote a good third of this last chapter at work. I don't particularly like doing that, but we had a couple of slow nights. =P It doesn't help that both FNFE and 'High Price' are demanding to be written, and I can only do one at a time. It's too hard going back and forth between third person pov and first person. =P

I completely understand about the 1st person/3rd person POV. I normally write 1st person but Cadre wanted to be 3rd person. I worked on Saiyuki last night because Cadre was being a difficult child and found myself constantly backchecking and correcting. probably doesn't help any that Cadre is all I have written for the past month and a half.

You know I was teasing you right? Yes, I'd love it if you posted a new chapter right now, but as someone with 6 WIP's, I completely understand about getting stuff done by means of whatever fic screams the most/loudest. When it's done, it'll be done.

Isn't that a bitch? I hate it when I end up writing a paragraph and glance over it to discover that I was in the wrong POV. I usually try rereading some of my stuff to get into the mood for the right POV, but that doesn't always work out. =P

*laugh* Of course I knew you were kidding! Trust me, Miss D is far worse. She was asking for the next chap of 'High Price' when she knew I had just finished the first chapter. That's what I get for using her as a beta. ;) But ouch, 6 wips? I think that would drive me crazy. I'm currently thinking of the endings for the two of my current WIPs... yes, I'm purposefully ignoring the 'Life Series'. =P

I did curl into a ball a sleep for a couple of days but when I reached the point where I was still too sick to leave the house but no longer sleepy, I had to do something :D
