The world could learn a few things from my cat

Today cheebz and I were observing my cat Munchkin and talking world politics. I came to the conclusion that the world could learn a few things from Munchkin. Munchkin is not called the Love Munchkin for nothing. She loves everyone. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, yellow or brown. It doesn't matter if you're human, feline, canine, big or ( Read more... )

Hee, go for it. I want to spread the love that is Munchkin.

I've been thinking about you a lot lately and hopefully in the very near future I can give you a shout. I've been a bit stressed lately and wanted to call when I wasn't feeling so. Last thing you need is me complaining about work or whatever.

I have an almost-Munchkin. Lucky is a throwaway I found on the 110 Freeway in Los Angeles. He loves adults, kids, and animals. He freely gives kisses, headbutts, and belly rubs. Considering that, when I found him, he had a broken nose and was half-starved, Lucky has to be the living example of not holding a grudge.

Sounds like you're lucky to have Lucky (and he's lucky to have you)!

Munchkin was found at about four to six weeks old or so in a dumpster with her sibs. Some arse just dumped them in there. Munchkin was a scraggly looking kitten, but was tenderly cared for by a dear friend of mine who ran a shelter. Munchkin chose me. She made a huge effort for me to take notice of her and I fell in love with the funny looking kitten right off. Now, she's a beautiful tortoiseshell cat who, no matter what, just loves everything.

I'm glad you found Lucky and he's now your loving cat. I really do think these little guys come into our lives to teach us about unconditional love.

:D

I hate people who do that.

One of my friends lost a dearly loved cat after a month-long battle over a fatty liver issue. In a supremely cruel joke of the universe, Moose improved enough to go home--and then died the next day, in pain. The next day, still in shock, my friend visited an acquaintance who fostered abandoned cats and kittens. One little guy, about 4 weeks old, scrambled up to her lap and promptly fell asleep. That was two years ago, and Dobby is still with her.

You're right. Sometimes, they choose us, and our lives are usually better for it.
