Not least because the boiler has gone out and the gas fire is right across from the sofa. My human doesn't often run the gas fire. Stoopid humans. Should be much more efficient about fixing things that keep the house WARM. Bah.

Mine has let water fall from the sky outside for three days now. And she won't let me dry myself on her because she is 'working'. They are very stupid!

Oh, yeah!! That water-from-the-sky thing is total crap.

And lately, my human has been using a Very Annoyed tone with me when I wake her up at 2:30 am because I Want FISSSSH Now. And at 3:00. And at 3:30. And at 4:00. And so on.

What's wrong with these humans, anyway? Remind me again why we even tolerate them?
