Spring afghan

I'm crocheting a series of afghans to use as 'decor'. So far I've completed one for Halloween and one for Christmas. I'm about 2/3 the way through a 'winter' one, but it's quite thick and the weather has warmed up too much to have that much heavy fabric covering me while I work. I'll finish that one in the autumn, and it'll be ready for next winter

Lovely, Terie. I especially like the "flower border" effect of the multicolor stripe, but the whole thing is just...springlike.

Thanks! I bought the yarn online (Red Heart, direct) and it wasn't exactly what I was picturing. But that's the risk you take when you have no means of seeing the actual yarn with your own eyeballs. And I'm very happy with it, even if it's not exactly what I expected.

That is SO true. I buy yarn off the internet, my local yarn shops being (until the new car) 2 to 5 gallons of gas distant. You're so right about color. And texture. I've just ordered some Superwash yarn for socks--haven't even SEEN Superwash yarn as it wasn't around when I was knitting 40+ years ago (or--it wasn't in any of the yarn shops nearby then.) So I'm having to hope that it will look something like the pictures.
