It had better be a girl!

A friend's sister is having a baby, and he mentioned wanting to give them something special and handcrafted. My friend also doesn't make very much money, so I volunteered to crochet a baby blanket for the cost of materials. My friend has been assured that the baby is a girl, and it just better be, because I indulged my love of pink!

Hee! When I was born, my mother was convinced I'd be a girl. So all my baby things were pink...

Well, Barry, yes, you do strike me as being a bloke who's in touch with his feminine side. :-)

That baby blanket is lovely; I really like that edging with that size pattern. You do beautiful crochet work, and though I'm not always a fan of pink, I like the way you've used them (there's enough white that I don't feel blinded by pink, and instead it's charming.)

Thanks! I tried a different edging first, but it was too heavy. OTOH, I didn't want to go too lacy, to avoid catching wee fingers. I'm really happy with how this choice turned out. I gave it to my friend this evening, and was amused to discover how loathe I was to let it go....how silly!
