For the past few days, for a couple of hours each day, I've put Marzipan in the front room and closed the door to the hall, then opened the spare room door to let the newcomers explore. They've been getting more confident each day.

I can only imagine how stressed the cats are all feeling. The strangers are two strong to the resident solo cat. He must be really frustrated by two of them messing with his person!

They're all adjusting surprisingly well, I must say. Right now, everyone is in 'if I don't look at you, you're not there' mode. Also, Marzipan is staying downstairs, and Truffle and Queenie are staying upstairs. All by choice. All doors are now open and anyone can go wherever they want.

Truffle looks like my kind of cat. Very much like the young Cleopatra.

'Flattery will get you everywhere,' Truffle says. At a month shy of 11 years old, he quite fancies being compared to a young Cleopatra!

She's probably 12-13 now, but still my favorite of the cats of my life (though not by much over Sir Thomas.)
