It was really distressing in person, the guy was committing telephonic spousal abuse with an option on physical when he got home, but in retrospect it's hilarious. The chap caught me looking at him aghast, and said something on the order of "what you lookin' at, faggot?" So I did the only thing I could do, which was to lean over and holler down his phone "DUMP HIM, HONEY!"

i once overheard a chick talking about a friend's abusive relationship in excruciating detail on the school shuttle. it was only me and another guy and we kept giving each other awkward looks. i hate when people talk on the phone on the bus.
