Real life and Icons

It's been over a month since I have posted, I've been trying to make comments but my posting hasn't been on any type of schedule. What has been happening in the last month? I had a cold the end of January the beginning of February. As far as colds go, it wasn't too bad but I find I don't bounce back from a cold like I did when I was younger.*sigh ( Read more... )

I adore Mrs. Maisel! I'm only on the third or fourth episode of season 2, but it's a great show. I especially like that while it takes place in the same era as Mad Men, it's less cynical, albeit still true to the times. Especially the relationship between Abe and... I want to say the mother's name is Ruth? I love seeing their relationship play out on screen. I also like that while Midge has a secret, the conflict isn't played in a cat-and-mouse way. Some shows do this and it drives me nuts; it even makes the In The Dark characters annoying, because they're constantly the roadblock between the character and the next scene. Midge's parents and Imogene simply don't know the truth. (I know they find out, but I don't know the details.)

Since you are less that 1/2 way finished season 2, I have to apologize for not putting a spoiler alert on the icons. Sorry! !

I love the show too! Abe and Rose are cute and I especially love Abe. The scene on season 1 with the TV and his grandson, was hysterical.

I watched the Cohen testimony, too. I find it boggling that anyone can doubt Trump's crimes. Cohen did a great job. He never overextended information he didn't have, he was still quick to denounce certain instances that would harm Trump (i.e. the tape), and he had physical evidence to support his statements. He's still a slime bucket, but any Republican who denounces using a criminal as a witness is deliberately deluding themselves about how the justice system works much of the time.

Cohen did do a great job. He was totally believable and the Republicans are deluding themselves, if they think Cohen was making this stuff up.

Thank you, I haven't made icons in months and wasn't sure how they would turn out. So glad you liked them.

Oh, you must give it a try! It's just a wonderful show, all the way around, from the acting to the costumes to the dialog, to the sets even the background music is perfect.
