Aww! (And lol, when I read the first sentence my first thought was, "tennyoelf is writing daddy!fic. Obviously Spike is the father!" and then I went back and read the notes and realized that I should have known that to begin with. ;) )

Anyway, I really liked this! The demon woman sticks out as a believable character, Buffy and Spike are...well, Buffy and Spike, frustrating as always, up until the grand finale...and now all I want to see is fluffy fic about them raising their baby together. =) Thank you for giving us something happy to read!

I had to write this and get it out of my system (it was very therapeutic). Yes, it is wish fulfillment, but a part of me seriously thinks that some of this might actually make it to canon (like Spike's the father, but won't be revealed until late in the season, their kid is 100% normal and that it was conceived when Severin sucked their powers in #4. I know most won't agree as it seems too happy...which is another reason I'm thinking it's real. Joss giving us some happiness and ship confirmation?? "No never!" and Joss is just sitting there troll smiling. But I'm having fun looking forward to seeing if I'm wrong

This was terrific Tenny. Very atmospheric. Your Spike and Buffy voices were both so well done and the seer person was genuinely creepy. I can't believe this had no beta! Go you.

Buffy needed normal, the kid needed normal. It didn’t need him.

Oh, very wrenching. I like how Spike's yearning and self-delusions about how he doesn't like kids anyway are very apparent.

She had Spike and Spike would have her, and they could be a family...maybe, hopefully. She hadn’t actually told Spike these things...but those were her hopes.

I like the use of the snake demon and the clues she gives, such as 'hair of dark sand' and weak, blue eyes. I like that she can sense Spike's birth name. Very lovely story! It made me smile a lot. :)

I'm trying to think about Spike's reaction to Buffy being pregnant. I can see him be attached, but not wanting to attached, and just confused all over about it. I think he's going to be just as bad of an emotional wreaking ball as Buffy will be in season 9!

Had to go from angst to fluff! I want some happiness dang it!

I needed a device to reveal the father but in a way that made it clear that it wasn't "Spike's" child but "William's" (aka, it was his human stuff that got her up the duff). So the snake demon girl was born. I thought it would be cool that a demon trapped from her home because of Buffy would be the one to give the info.
