the phillies thing would be the hardest part for 2007-me to believe. I've been rooting for Obama since way before then and it's always hard for me to extinguish hope so I'd have wanted to believe that. As for the banks, that really didn't surprise me at all. I STILL can't believe the phillies thing. I honestly feel like I went to sleep and woke up in another dimension where all the rules of baseball as I knew them have changed. I lived in NYC where I loved the yankees and mets, moved to Philly, decided the baseball team sucked so bad I might as well ignore the entire sport, next thing I knew, philly is the world champion and the Yankees don't play in Yankee stadium anymore…
A year ago I *wanted* to Barack to win, but I couldn't see him getting past Hillary.
I believed the housing market and the economy were on shaky ground, but I never expected things to become so bad so quickly that "possible Depression" became a common thing to say.
And the Phillies... well I'm just happy for all y'all who really care. :-)
