If I had told you in November 2007 that in exactly one year:
- Barack Obama would defeat both Hillary Clinton and John McCain to become the 44th President of the United States.
- Washington Mutual, Commerce Bank, and Wachovia banks would all become insolvent, to be swallowed up by other banks.
- The Phillies would be World Champions of "the baseball".
