I hadn't expected a follow-on, and while I adored David in the show, and feel that I've discovered in Suranne an actor worth following, and did love the kids and characters in general, I admit that lots of the plot is pretty much lost in too many soapsuds for my liking. However, because definitely the ending does not spell 'Happy Ever After' for Dave and Sarah in my jaundiced opinion, maybe there could have been a couple of more eps in it for a future program. Just not with the same writer, please.
[Seriously, after seeing SF, I googled Suranne and found out about her other tv drama, Unforgiven. Bought it from Amazon and was really impressed with her in it. She's v. good, imo.]

I was actually under the impression that there was only going to be one series anyway?
I was relatively happy with how it rounded out, though I kinda thought shiiiiiit poor guy is now going to have 6 kids to deal with!

I thought it was only ever supposed to be the four eps? I'm pretty happy that it was only this, it was all very meh in my opinion.

I'm surprised people were expecting another series.

I understood it to be like Recovery, telling one story in an extended format.

It ends with him not single so how could it even be called Single Father?

I wouldn't want to see a pointless sequel just for the sake of it.

I actually really loved it, but I thought that it ended with enough closure so I wasn't expecting a second series anyway.
