~The Questions~
In your own words, describe what a rival is to you: Someone I may not get along with in competition, but we can respect one another to a certain degree.
Personality-wise, what do and don't you like in a person? I DO like someone who is smart and able to hold his/her own. He/she is strong (not necessarily physically, but mentally and emotionally as well) and has a strong sense of right and wrong. I DON’T like someone who is full of himself/herself, looks down on people, or someone who gives up easily.
What kind of person can you see as a good rival? Someone who can bring out the best in me, not the worst.
What things are you physically and mentally good at? I am physically good at speed-reading (LOL) and probably swimming. I am mentally good at keeping my spirits up I suppose?
What things are you physically and mentally not good at? I cannot throw worth crap and I sometimes have shabby balance. Mentally, uh, I don’t know. Something I’m sure. xD
Using tennis as a example:
a) How would you react if you had to work with someone you considered a rival in a doubles game between (say) the Golden Pair? Depends on the person, but I think realistically, I’d be a little pissed. I’m not sure I could see the bigger picture (i.e. join forces to bring the Golden Pair down). LOL
b) How would you react/feel if you lost to your rival in a singles game? Sad and angry. I don’t like losing. Later on, I’d reflect back on the situation and come to understand that I could potentially grow from my loss, but initially I’d be >:O
