i was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of a useful tutorial for changing sims genetics with simpe? i've gone through a custom content cleanup (i know, bad idea in the midst of a legacy, but i wanted to see if i could make my game run better), and in the process, Pippa, Dale, and all the other sims wearing a Leh blended skintone ( Read more... )

I recently had a CC cleanout as well, I went back in-game and noticed my SimSelf looked quite tanned and had maxis brown eyes, I knew it would happen... but still, :P
So far, I haven't figured out how to change her MAXIS eyes to grey defaults, but I did manage to change the skin. I'll probably search about it more, to find out how to change her eyes, if I manage to find that out, I'll let you know! :)

oh, that's frustrating. i've had that happen before, but never did figure out how to solve the eye problem. This time, my problem is only the skin reverting to one of my defaults, which wouldn't be a problem, but it's the wrong colour! lol i know how to change the cosmetic appearance of the sims, but not the genetics.

thank you for the quick reply! i'll continue looking for something and definitely let you know if i find a solution for your eye problem :)

I did find this tutorial: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=186939 but it means you'd have useless clones running around, :P I guess nobody has really figured it out.
I tried searching for something else, but google came up with things that obviously didn't match what I was looking for, :P Ahh, I guess you'll just have to have pale skinned sims... and my simself will have to have ugly maxis BROWN eyes, when really, I have grey. :\
