strange as it seems, there's been a run of crazy dreams

Lately I've been having this recurring dream where I'm trying to teach some kid about Shakespeare and rhetoric (I don't know why, but this goes on for a couple of weeks, in the dream, so maybe it's a tutorial or something), and then, in reaction, he goes off and drowns himself. Ack!
I had a dream the other night that I let our 6 year old drive the car (just a little) because I was really, really tired and she wouldn't get out of the driver's seat and I didn't want to fight with her. And of course the first thing she did was run a stop sign and we got pulled over. It was a really excruciating Bad Mommy dream, and I was so glad to wake up!

Oh dear! But at least nothing worse than getting pulled over happened in the dream--whenever I have dreams in which really bad/dangerous situations occur, I'm out of sorts for a good chunk of the day, as though I'm not fully sure they didn't happen.

I think this dream stems from the fact that I've been thinking lately about whether I want rhetoric to be a major part of my project, and whether I can say anything remotely interesting about it. This is, apparently, my subconscious' smart-aleck answer. :) Though during one of these dreams, interestingly, the student told me that studying Shakespeare so closely was "sucking all of the fun out of it"...
