It just so happens that I will be in the Midwest over the weekend where one can still find Half-Price Books. ;)
Also, I definitely understand that feeling; I feel the same way about The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay. It's one of those books that, to me, is just perfect. Also Dorothy Dunnett.

I've still only read one book by Guy Gavriel Kay: A Song for Arbonne (if that is in fact the title; I think I was in high school). I remember liking it, though; I should probably get around to reading something else, one of these days.

A Song for Arbonne was the first GGK I ever read and I adored it. Tigana is also wonderful, but my absolute favourite has to be Lions of Al-Rassan. I cry every single time I read it. Like clockwork.

I read that book years ago, I remember not really understanding it that much. I should give it a go again, you make it sound fantastic.

I think I did have to read Tamsin twice before I fell in love with it: obviously I liked it enough to want to read it again, that first time, but on the second read I was like, "How did I not notice how awesome this book was, the first time???"
