So, fandom has been flailing due to this shitty LJ redesign - which makes as much sense as Starfire's new look in the reboot, IMHO - but apparently, there is more.

THIS links to a few MILLION possible changes LJ is thinking of implementing. It looks like everything is getting uglier and posting will be a greater pain in the ass than it already is. ( Read more... )

Did you see the Writer's Block Question of the Day thing is "Rant about something" and half of the responses are about the format? Ahaha. :D

Is DW that much better? I have so much here on LJ... I've been here for forever. Like, I'm not worried about my paid account -- it expires in February, so if I need to not renew for a time, I can. I made my account back in 05 and I've got over 800 entries and stuff. It seems so much to just disappear... Because I would have to delete it. I couldn't just abandon it to sit here and linger...

To be honest, as of now the changes aren't horrifically bad enough to warrant a full change over. Most memes are getting their commenting-sections back to normal with an altered S2 layout, and our personal journals have customised comment sections already. However, I personally think that if LJ make all the changes seen in the link in the post, it would cut down on useability ( ... )
