Thank you, glad you liked this one! I must have changed my mind quite a lot of times about where to go with this.

Great insight to the storyline, characters, and writers' schemes!

Thank you, glad you liked this! I wonder if this is how that story will play out - I'm usually wrong in my guesses though so wouldn't like to predict.

I have the opposite problem. I far too often see how a plotline is going to work out within scant minutes of being introduced to it. That's one reason why I love Once: I rarely see their twists way ahead of time, and even when I do, they still manage to make the storyline enjoyable.

Usually.

You know, there's an utterly ridiculous way they could solve this problem with Marian. [Spoiler (click to open)] Regina's all worked up because she can't find a way to break her curse, and Robin's True Love kiss won't work. But we've seen both Emma and Regina break curses with True Love's kiss with their child. Just get Roland to kiss the woman already!

I hadn't thought about this in ages but reading that just reminded me of a time ages ago when I'd rejected one potential fic idea for Lost because I thought it was just too crazy and then two years on, canon actually came pretty close to it. Maybe I'm not as bad a guesser as I'd thought ( ... )

Awww lovely!!! Really interesting that it broke up Snow and Charming, and that Regina wanted Robin in her life, and of course Henry.

I did think long and hard about going down that route, what with the "Regina's not evil any more, she wouldn't have wanted to do that" arguments I'd seen presented. In the end I came to the conclusion that Regina couldn't avoid that. Of course, there was the potential for the Lost "course correcting" idea where Snow and Charming would have found each other anyway, but I chose not to go down that route and right now I don't think I will.

I really don't think Regina thought it through at all when she decided to change her ending.

That was fantastic!! Lots of great moments!! It did give me that "It's A Wonderful Life" feel!! Regina touched and altered so many lives, good or bad that changing anything will have a torrential ripple effect. Roland and Henry never being born of course hits the heart hardest, but I also loved the choice of Zelena casting the curse!! Wonderful work!! LOVE IT!!

You know what I'm now thinking I maybe should have done? Had Tinkerbell get her wings back. I had got as far as wondering how it would have affected her if Regina had met Robin straight away, whether she'd have lost her wings, but once you mentioned It's A Wonderful Life, I thought maybe I could have done that.

As far as Zelena goes, I do think the curse would have been cast anyway without Regina, given that Rumpel's reasons for wanting it to be cast went so far back, and since Zelena had wanted to cast it at one point, it just made so much sense to use her. Thanks for reading!

Very interesting. I never get tired of the story idea that changing one thing for one person will also change things for everyone else. I like how you thought this out and pinpointed some of the things that likely would not have happened, or would have happened completely differently, if not for Regina's evil.

I'm not in support of the Robin/Regina pairing, but it does seem like the show may eventually try to get them back together anyway. I do like that you have Marian get a happy ending, thanks to Belle. :) The show seems to be shafting Marian right now and I feel awful for her.

I also like you having Henry say that his grandpa deserves a happy ending and is trying to change too. Definitely true.

Anyway, very enjoyable read!

I've seen people saying that they wouldn't want Regina to change things like Snow/Charming. Thing is, she may have got past wanting to, but I don't know that she could avoid it really.

Marian is definitely being shafted right now, which I'm not impressed with.

Yeah, I agree. I'm very concerned of what might happen if she actually does get the book altered.

Glad you agree. Sigh. I'm not really impressed with the whole idea that they seem to be pushing that Regina and Robin are true loves because of some fairy dust. I think that now that Marian is in the equation, even if it was true in the past, it shouldn't be true any longer. And I miss the Robin who was willing to be tortured for Marian's sake.

I wish things would resolve with Robin and Marian together, and happy being together, and Regina finds her happy ending without having to encroach on or change anyone else's happy endings. I wish she was still satisfied with the idea of Henry being her happy ending, instead of feeling like she has to have a romantic interest right now....
