Oh man, my heart breaks for both of them. This is utterly captivating.

Thank you! We're not making it very easy for them, it's true.

"I'll hold onto your hips," he promises. "I'll keep you here."

"Not letting you ... go," he gets out through gritted teeth. He'll remember it later, remember and realize that was the moment when Orlando became more than just a pretty boy to keep Sean warm.

*loves* I would say a good man beats a romantic man any day.

Oh totally! For all his lack of romance, this Sean is a good man. *pets him*

Just read 3 and 4. Yay! A weredragon! (my second hope for What Is Orlando)

Am sitting here desperately wanting them to live happily ever after, but I suspect there's some Unpleasantness ahead. Possibly something to do with nasty wizards and curses, and little defenseless orphans being turned into weredragons, and a wrongly accused (grrrr!) knight being stripped of his honor. Gosh, this is a good yarn!

OK I have to ask, what was your first hope? Since we set out to write dragon fic, I wasn't sure that we were all that subtle about what he was going to be. So I was really happy when people were surprised.

I try to be careful about spoilers, so I won't really say what's ahead for these two. Hopefully the ending will come as a bit of a surprise.

Wow, did you really just compare us to Tim Powers!? *squees* Ahem...sorry; it's just that I love his writing and also think he's one of the nicest guys in the business. My ex used to teach at Cal State Fullerton and he'd came in two different times to talk to the students in her SF class because he's an alumni. I took the days off and sat in on the class, and then we took him to lunch. He's very very cool and I made his day when I told him I'd read Drawing of the Dark way back in the early '80s and loved it.

So anyway, thank you so much!

Wow. I continue to love how you are drawing each of the characters, with their own secrets and mysteries (even to themselves) and their growing connection. Such an enjoyable story. I can't wait for each new part.

Thank you! We really ended up liking these boys a lot, so it's a happy thing when other people do too. :)
