The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats in Islamabad and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". I thought that the annoying racket that goes by several times a day was several weenie motorcycles.
I was wrong. I finally caught sight of the major irritant, and it's teenagers on freaking electric scooters.

It astounds me that the birds sing all night here.
Every so often, I'll be up way too late, and a bird will catch my attention. At that point I panic that it's much, much later than I thought as my subconscious knows that birds singing merrily heralds the morning.
But they go all night here! It's just plain weird!

Stupid Work Ethic
Week before last, I was taking care of a friend who was really sick, but couldn't stay in her apartment due to mold issues that management at her complex is refusing to take care of.
