Looks like you folks caught a bit of a break with the eye rolling over you instead of to the west - pushing the flooding into another zone - of course, the weather channel mentioned that some of them are up on the roof asking to be rescued.

Hope your power stays on! A refrigerator/freezer with no-power is way up there on the suck scale.

It was off for a few hours, but I didn't open the big freezer except to snag some ice cubes once. I just got some more (I've only been awake for a bit over an hour ;-) and they hadn't even started to melt. :-)

Without cable, I don't even get broadcast channels in this apartment. I'm sitting here trying to watch the recovery news and getting mostly static and a snow field.
