Is there anything more nerve wracking than waiting to hear back from your betas?

At least in the writing portion of life. Lots of other things are much more nerve wracking, but as I'm practicing being overly dramatic, I thought I'd go with it. (Still not seeing the draw of drama queen-hood, but I'll give it more time. There must be something to it given how many folks practice it, right?)

I got Worthy off to my betas around ( Read more... )

I'll let you know if I ever find one. (A beta that is.)

I am looking forward to your fic. I wrote, last year, an 80,000 word novel of shapshifters (more like totem animals actually) of original characters. "Our hero" does a mountain lion and a hawk, a lady does a desert fox, a hawk and an appaloosa mare. I really had fun with it, loved it and sent it out to several people to read, and never heard from anyone again. Ever. They have all dropped off the face of the earth, as far as I know.

Maybe I need to find a 'gamma.'

Hope you hear from your betas soon...

Ouch. That bites.

I bet you find a beta over in the new comm. If I wasn't already swamped with commitments, I'd do it. :-)

Just make sure you're careful if you put any shape-shifting vultures onto commercial aircraft...

Only one carrion per passenger ;)

Shapeshifting is the next big "thing" in the publishing world, or so I hear (Vampires are fading, werewolves are in).

I eagerly await to read your take on the phenomenon.

Vampires can get boring. I think Anne Rice did more to ruin the concept of vampires than anything else, but then, I'm not impressed with her writing. :-)

Hope it turns out to be as interesting to everyone else as it is to me. :-)

Actually it sounds like one of those kinky-kinky fics that I like ;-) and since I KNOW you are a great writer that means I should love it.
