And yet you seemed incredulous. The proper response would be, of course, to ask if I'd stuttered, but seeing as this conversation is through text, I believe the point may be moot. You do, of course, retain the ability to disbelieve anything I say; it's your exclusive right, and your inconsolable loss.

I'd offer you assistance, but I generally require far different stains to be removed in my dress shirts.

Oh, so you think I should show up at her apartment nude as Zeus made me? Because while I really have no problem with that plan of action, some Puritan prudes would probably have a fit, and if there's any plan I do have a problem with, it's shimmying down a fire escape with no pants on.

At least fire escapes are generally metal, it's not like you've gotta worry about splinters. But okay, a trench coat, to get over there. Standard uniform of PIs and flashers everywhere.
