[it's quiet in House 7 with only Jilly and little Sayo taking up space. Not that it was any more quiet than her apartment would have been, but it seemed to be accentuated by the space. Echoey, even

[Since Archie and McCoy and Buffy and Ginko'd left, Sayo had been sitting around anticipating their return-though her mind could not comprehend anything other than just that; death is a mysterious, foreign thing she's yet to learn.
But regardless, she waits. Learns more, where she can't learn from them. But she's at least happy to have Jilly around, and when she the offer for icecream emerges she paces through the living room with her journal-weird, weird book it is-to Jilly.
... partly out of breath.]
You wanted to get something?
[She can't even remember what it was, but she was just happy enough to get it.]
We'll have to try a couple of flavors then. See which ones you like best.
[she grabs her journal, just as a precaution. Grell is still here in the village, after all. That set, though, she'll tilt her head for Sayo to come with her.]
[she strolls, rather than strides, making sure it's easy for the smaller girl to keep up] They're different tastes, and there's all kinds. I'm not sure what they'll have here.
But there's usually chocolate. Or strawberry or vanilla. Have you tasted chocolate, yet?
[a laugh] We can get one while we're out. We'll split it.
[in fact, she stops at a shop to grab a chocolate bar first, peeling back the foil and breaking off a square for Sayo as they continue walking on their way to ice cream. It was just chocolate, with no nuts or caramel. That could come later...with a whole selection of sweetes to compare, and probably after a meal so the poor girl wouldn't end up sick. ]
[holding up the bar so Sayo can see] This would be a candy bar. It's a bar of some kind of candy. Something sweet. In this case, it's a chocolate bar.
[Jilly finishes her own square, and then breaks off another for Sayo as she finds a spot to sit on one of the benches. Motioning to the seat, with her free hand, she tilts her head back towards the shop]
Go ahead and sit. I'll go get the ice cream and you can try something really tasty.
[It takes her a few minutes...but it's obvious why when she returns, because she's balancing a whole collection of little bowls, each with two plastic spoons sticking out from them.
Coming to sit in front of Sayo, crossing her legs on the ground, she lays out the selection, pointing to each bowl in turn] Alright.

We've got strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, peppermint, chocolate chip cookie dough, and pistachio.
[a grin]...there's more, but we're going to be lucky if we can finish all of this, so it'll be a good start.
