[It wasn’t the first time Jilly had slept outside. It wasn’t even the first time she’d had to sleep out in very un-sleep-friendly weather. But where she woke up was most definitely not where she’d fallen asleep

[It's a simple enough mistake, when you have a questionable mental state and are lurking about in the woods, to hear "Jack" instead of "Jeck." But the voice is unfamiliar.
Sparrow stares at his journal for a few moments before responding with a tentative:]
[And now he realizes his error...unless she's right, and this is a dream. It's been difficult to tell lately, what with so much of dreams and reality blurring together.
May as well test it, to be sure, like.]
And this is a warmish Jack, Mistress Jilly. Tell me now: are you dreaming of yourself in a lovely white frock, what's more suitable for midsummer-type dreaming than bleak midwinter dreams?
[Still no person to talk to, but she sees the book now, bending to pick it up]
Jack, then.
And that? Sums it up exactly. [brushing snow from the pages, she blinks as she notices all the controls that are definitely not your typical, book-ish additions. Especially not in 1978] N-not that I've got anything against frocks...but gloves would be n-nice.
[Rydia's taking a walk, more because she needs a break than because she enjoys the winter weather. She doesn't, at all. But the voice catches her attention and she heads towards it, instantly concerned.]
[she'll start heading in the direction of the new voice as well. She's flinching a little at the cold. (Seriously... couldn't they have left the shoes?) but her smile is surprisingly cheery when she catches sight of the green haired girl and waves]
Hello! I-is there any chance you could tell me where I am? [and where she could warm up?]
[voice] god this is so late sorry >:automoblephiliaJanuary 15 2011, 00:30:19 UTC
Shoes huh? [ That'd be easy enough to conjure up, too bad he doesn't know where you are. ] Surprised most people wish for something larger usually. Portable heater sounds good right about now.
But lucky for you there's no need for money in this place. Suppose you could get some from the store.

...Aye? What is it, then.

And if this was a dream world well, random, bodiless voices weren't quite as crazy as they seemed]
...is this Jeck? Or...someone else?
"It" would be Jilly. A very, very cold Jilly. Sh-shouldn't I be able to dream up n-normal clothing?
[it seemed incredibly unfair that Sophie had never mentioned that point.
She's turning now, though, trying to suss out where the voice is coming from]

Here, you need this more than I do. You're in Luceti, and this is--why don't I show you the Welcome Center? You can warm up there.

But the Welcome C-center sounds lovely.

Ma'am? Can you hear me?

[thanks to Jack, she's found the book and has been keeping it close while she wanders further into the village]
I-is it too much to hope that you're Jeck?

I-I guess it was wishful thinking. But right now? I'm more wishing for shoes...

[surprisingly enough, she sounds pretty cheerful... if half-frozen]
