Back about a month ago, arrogantemu and I wrote this song while on a camping trip, in a burst of mutual inspiration, and I've finally had a chance to type up the words. It was such a collaborative effort that I can't even remember who wrote which line, but we contributed equally. The tune is "Five Nights Drunk." It's based on a true story: Leigh Anne Sabine'sRead more... )

That sweet old lady frogged poor Frank

Thanks *preens*

The neighbors whom the perp told about the murder, and who thought she was kidding, went around saying, "Watch out or I'll frog you!" to each other as a playful threat for years afterwards. They've probably stopped now.

Sometimes it pays to take absurd statements at face value. I like the song. :)

Wow! So she murdered him and stuck him in the shed and no one ever went looking for him?! That is amaaaaaazing.

I want to learn all my lurid news from songs like this; this is fabulous.

ETA: Just read the story--unbelievable! Your frog-shaped indentation was actually ripped from reality!

Apparently both victim and perp were really unpleasant people. They'd done a series of nasty things in their earlier lives that don't make for fun storytelling, so I'm not surprised the neighbors didn't look too closely when one of them disappeared.

It was amazing how little of this song we actually had to make up. Anyway I'm glad you liked it!
